Apple Shares New Update on Silo’s Final Two Seasons

Apple TV’s sci-fi drama Silo continues to move forward quickly as the series prepares for its next chapter. The show is expected to return later this year with season 3, and now there is a major update about its final season. Apple has already completed filming for season 4, which means the story is now fully shot through its planned ending.

The series gained strong attention on Apple TV thanks to its mysterious underground world and slow-burn storytelling. Because the show performed well with viewers, Apple renewed it early for both season 3 and season 4, confirming that the fourth season will close the series.

According to Apple’s official post on X, Silo season 4 has already finished filming. That announcement confirms the show has now wrapped filming for its final two seasons.

Silo’s final seasons could arrive closer together

The season 2 finale aired in early 2025, and Apple expects season 3 to premiere sometime this fall. That timeline places nearly a two-year gap between the second and third seasons.

However, season 4 finishing production this early changes the schedule outlook. Since filming already wrapped, Apple can move into post-production sooner, which increases the chances of a faster release after season 3.

The show adapts the popular trilogy written by Hugh Howey. The first two seasons focused mainly on the events of the first novel. Creator and showrunner Graham Yost previously said the final two seasons will combine elements from the second and third books instead of following the exact order of the novels.

Viewers can stream the first two seasons of Silo on Apple TV. The service costs $12.99 per month, and Apple also includes it in the Apple One subscription bundle.
