Ted Lasso returns to Apple TV on Tuesday, August 4, at 9:00 p.m. ET and 6:00 p.m. PT, with season 4 introducing a new team, several fresh cast members, and a major change behind the scenes.
The new season shifts its focus from AFC Richmond’s men’s squad to the Lady Greyhounds, a women’s football team coached by Ted Lasso and Alice Chilton, a new character played by Tanya Reynolds.

Several familiar characters will still appear, including Rebecca, Keeley, Roy Kent, Coach Beard, and Ted, but many of AFC Richmond’s best-known players will no longer serve as regular cast members.
Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas, Sam Obisanya, Isaac McAdoo, and Colin Hughes are expected to remain outside the main story, although the show can still bring some of them back for brief appearances.
The new Lady Greyhounds players include Gemma, played by Abbie Hern, Boots, played by Jude Mack, Lizzie, played by Faye Marsay, Niamh, played by Aisling Sharkey, and Siobhan, played by Rex Hayes.
Ted Lasso Season 4 Gets New Creative Leadership
Season 4 also brings Jack Burditt into a major production role alongside Jason Sudeikis after Bill Lawrence stepped away from much of the show’s third season.
The Hollywood Reporter said Burditt helped manage the production while Sudeikis remained the main creative force, giving the series a clearer structure during filming and writing.
Burditt also reportedly co-ran the season 4 writers’ room, which should help the show maintain a tighter story as it introduces the Lady Greyhounds and moves several long-running characters into smaller roles.
