Jennifer Lawrence is teaming up with Apple Original Films again for a brand new romantic comedy called “One Month Mark.” The project brings the popular actor back together with director Gene Stupnitsky, who she previously worked with on the hit movie “No Hard Feelings.” Fans of her recent comedic turn will likely find a lot to love as she steps into this fresh leading role.
The new romantic comedy explores relationships that never last long
The script for the new movie comes from writer Sophie Fleur de Bruijn. The story centers around two people with very different dating habits. The female lead has never managed to keep a relationship going past the one month mark. Meanwhile, the male lead has never stayed single for more than a month. The setup creates a fun clash of personalities that plays right into Lawrence’s comedic strengths.
Apple Studios will produce the movie alongside Chernin Entertainment, with David Ready and Peter Chernin attached as producers. Lawrence is also taking an active role behind the scenes. She will produce the film through her Excellent Cadaver banner alongside her partner Justine Ciarrocchi.
