The vault may protect evidence or power
If the Halogram directs John to a vault, evidence about Hal’s enemies would be the most useful discovery. Records of his activities after prison, messages prepared for his death or data about the ring could narrow the murder suspects without turning the vault into a random collection of comic references.
The vault could also hold a Lantern battery or another way to recharge the ring. Episode 6 stresses that only five percent remains, creating an immediate practical problem. A power source would keep the Halogram active and give John access to abilities he has avoided for ten years.
The Halogram may not be fully reliable
A third possibility is information about the Rushville disaster. John still believes Hal’s punishment did not answer the deeper question of responsibility. Hidden files could show whether Hal accepted the official story, investigated it privately or discovered a threat that later led to his death. A personal message for Carol Ferris or Guy Gardner would also fit Hal’s habit of leaving difficult emotions for someone else to deliver. Such a recording could deepen the character story without settling the murder too early.
What matters is that Episode 7 must distinguish a clue from a reveal. The Halogram can point John toward Hal’s private world, but the series has not confirmed that the projection tells the full truth.
