Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 4 is scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026, on Starz. The episode is titled “A Portion of My Soul.” Julia’s discovery that Seema knew Henry intimately leaves her in a precarious position at Castle Leathers, but the published preview does not say that their conflict will be settled next week.
The official listing instead foregrounds Ellen and Grace riding across the Highlands to find Brian and Dougal’s forces. That does not make Julia’s story disappear. It means the safest preview keeps the confirmed journey separate from the questions Episode 3 leaves at Leathers, rather than presenting an imagined reunion or escape as a promised event.

Julia cannot simply dismiss Seema
Seema’s arrival changes more than Julia’s understanding of Henry’s time apart from her. Lord Lovat refuses Julia’s request to remove the new maid and says Seema is to keep an eye on her. Julia is now sharing a household with someone who knows about Henry, knows about Claire and has been placed close enough to watch her movements.

That is a difficult situation whether Seema means Julia harm or not. Seema offers to protect Julia and William, but the circumstances of her employment give Julia good reason to be cautious. The question for a future episode is whether the two women can find common ground despite the intimate history between Seema and Henry. Episode 4’s synopsis does not confirm the answer.
Ellen and Grace have a confirmed journey ahead
The published description for “A Portion of My Soul” says Ellen and Grace travel through the Highlands in search of Brian and Dougal’s forces. After the preparation for battle in Episode 3, this shifts their thread from defending a clan at home to trying to reach the men in the field. It gives the next installment a clear geographical and emotional direction without revealing what they find.
Ellen’s concern is not abstract. Brian is personally central to her future, while Dougal’s choices affect the wider MacKenzie family. A journey to their forces brings those relationships closer to the conflict building around them. Whether the trip succeeds, and what danger the riders meet, must wait for the episode itself.
What Episode 4 still needs to answer
Julia’s immediate problem is trust. Seema has potentially useful knowledge of Henry, but she is also watching the household for others. If Henry approaches Leathers, Julia may have to decide quickly whether Seema will help them or report him. That is an inference from the setup, not a confirmed Episode 4 plot point.
The parallel stories make the next chapter especially tense: Ellen is moving toward the battle, while Julia remains constrained by the people around her. Which thread do you think will change most in “A Portion of My Soul”? Let us know in the comments after the episode arrives.
