Apple surpassed Wall Street predictions for its fiscal fourth quarter of 2026. Under the fresh leadership of CEO John Ternus, the company posted a record breaking $114.5 billion in total revenue. Analysts were pleasantly surprised by the 12 percent growth from last year. This recent earnings report shows that strong hardware sales easily pushed past the initial estimates set by market watchers on Wall Street this fall.
New smartphones push revenue well past initial market predictions
Wall Street analysts originally expected moderate hardware sales this fall. Instead, the standard iPhone lineup brought in $57.58 billion. This massive 17.5 percent jump blew past most financial forecasts. A lot of this sudden growth came from the launch of the iPhone Duo, which brought massive demand that the company is currently struggling to fulfill.
High end buyers also helped beat the estimates. The premium iPhone 18 Pro and the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max sold much better than expected during the September quarter. People are upgrading their old devices faster than analysts projected. Services also played a big role in beating the forecasts, hitting a new all time high of $31.57 billion.

Executives share a positive outlook for the upcoming holiday season
Investors pay close attention to future guidance during these calls. During the earnings presentation, executives shared a very optimistic view of the coming months. CFO Kevan Parekh mentioned that the active installed base is now over 2.5 billion devices worldwide. This growing user base means more recurring money from subscriptions and software sales.
While some investors worried about rising memory costs, Ternus assured them that overall margins will remain stable. It is clear that the current leadership team has a solid grip on operations. Exceeding Wall Street numbers in a transition year is a big win for the new CEO.
As the busy December quarter approaches, the company is in a great position to keep growing. If hardware demand holds up through the holidays, 2027 could start with even more broken records for the brand.
