Apple Music and Ritter Sport launch album cover chocolate bars in Germany

Apple is working with German chocolate brand Ritter Sport on a new Apple Music promotion that brings iconic album covers to supermarket shelves across Germany. The limited campaign places famous German records on Ritter Sport’s classic 100g square bars and links each bar directly to Apple Music through a QR code.

According to Macerkopf, the “Limited Edition Ritter Sport x Apple Music” series launches on March 2, 2026, and will be available nationwide in Germany for a short time. Each bar costs €1.99 and stores will sell them while supplies last.

Five albums that shaped German music

Apple Music and Ritter Sport selected five albums that represent different genres and eras of German music. The lineup includes:

  • “Muttersprache” by Sarah Connor
  • “RAOP” by Cro
  • “Farbenspiel” by Helene Fischer
  • “Zum Glück in die Zukunft II” by Marteria
  • “Crazy World” by Scorpions

Each chocolate bar features the original album artwork on the front. On the back, you will find a QR code that takes you straight to the album on Apple Music. The code also unlocks a free trial for new subscribers.

All five albums stream on Apple Music in Dolby Atmos, which gives listeners a more immersive sound experience. With this promotion, Apple connects physical design with digital streaming and highlights records that left a strong mark on German music culture.

Ritter Sport will sell the bars in supermarkets across Germany as well as in its colorful Schokowelten stores in Waldenbuch and Berlin. The promotion starts on March 2 and runs only while stock lasts.

If you are in Germany and manage to grab one of these bars, you get both a chocolate treat and direct access to a classic album in one package.
