Just a few weeks after raising the cost of its music platform, Apple has confirmed another round of subscription hikes. The company is adjusting the monthly and annual cost of its video streaming platform and its entry-level bundle. This change affects new users right away. Current subscribers will see the higher rate applied on the next billing cycle after a standard notice period. The recent adjustment shows Apple is pushing to make its services more profitable.
The company increases monthly rates and expands its streaming catalog
Here is the breakdown of the new pricing structure:
- Apple TV (monthly): $14.99, up from $12.99
- Apple TV (annual): $119, up from $99
- Apple One Individual: $21.95, up from $19.95
Other bundle plans remain untouched for now. The company previously raised the cost of its family and premium tiers last month. For context, the last time the streaming service saw a price hike was in August 2025, when it jumped from $9.99 to $12.99 a month.

To justify the extra cost, the platform has heavily invested in sports and original shows over the last year. Viewers in the US now get live Formula 1 races included at no extra charge. The platform also absorbed Major League Soccer streaming, which used to require a separate fee. These additions make Apple TV much more of a hub for live sports alongside its regular catalog.
The service is also relying on the success of its original shows to keep people hooked. The latest season of Ted Lasso performed very well, and Dark Matter just started its second season today. Fans of Slow Horses can also expect the sixth season to drop on September 16.
While paying more is rarely popular, the expanded library does offer more content to heavy users. Viewers who only watch a few shows might need to decide if the new monthly cost still makes sense for their entertainment budget.
