1. Siri AI Gets Better Memory and More Languages

Siri AI can now remember previous conversations, allowing users to ask follow-up questions about earlier recommendations or information.

The assistant can also access more personal context, including:

  • Photos shared through Messages.
  • Calendar event attendees and voicemail information.
  • Safari browsing history and Reading List.
  • Previous Siri conversations for more relevant responses.

Apple has also added more precise text selection for Siri responses and an improved Excluded Apps setting that lets users control which apps Siri and Search can access.

Siri AI now supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, although availability remains restricted in the EU and mainland China. These improvements require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer compatible model.

2. Messages Gets Context-Aware Suggestions

Messages can now recognize useful information within conversations and suggest relevant actions.

For example, users can add dinner plans to Calendar, create reminders, save information in Notes, or track packages directly from a conversation.

These suggestions appear as tappable shortcuts, reducing the need to switch between apps manually.

3. Apple Music Gets a New Look

Apple Music has received a visual refresh, replacing its familiar red app icon with a black-and-white design.

As we previously covered, Apple also adjusted the Library’s Play and Shuffle buttons and several navigation elements to match the updated appearance.

4. Photos, FaceTime, and Other App Improvements

iOS 27.2 introduces several smaller changes that improve everyday usability.

Apple has also introduced SynthID watermarking for supported AI-generated or modified images in Photos and Image Playground.

Meanwhile, the Apple TV app now supports Multiview on iPhone, allowing viewers to watch up to four supported live sports streams simultaneously.

5. New Features for iPhone Duo

The iPhone Duo receives several improvements with iOS 27.2, including support for the USB-C Apple Pencil and Edge Light for better illumination during video calls.

Apple has also introduced a Shortcuts automation that responds when the foldable iPhone opens or closes.

iOS 27.2 Includes Over 160 Security Fixes

Apple has addressed more than 160 security vulnerabilities affecting various system components.

These fixes cover potential privacy bypasses, unauthorized access to sensitive information, Bluetooth permissions, and other security issues.

Apple has not reported active exploitation of the vulnerabilities addressed in this release.

What About the Redesigned Health App?
