According to a report from The Information, Apple is also looking at a lower starting price for the iPhone Air 2. That matters. The current model starts at $999 in the U.S., even though it includes compromises like one rear camera, a single speaker, and shorter battery life. A price cut would make the Air lineup easier to justify.
Apple Needs a Reset
Design alone has not carried the iPhone Air. Despite its ultra-thin look, sales appear weaker than the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro. Suppliers have reportedly slowed production, which signals limited demand.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone Air 2 in spring 2027. If these changes happen, you may finally see an Air model that feels complete.
