The software brings fresh gestures and better virtual displays
This upcoming visionOS 27 update introduces several major improvements to the spatial computing experience. The system now uses advanced machine learning to transform standard two-dimensional images into immersive three-dimensional spatial photos. Users will also find new hand gestures that make opening the Home View and accessing the Control Center much faster.
The company also upgraded the Mac Virtual Display feature, which will soon support massive virtual monitors equivalent to two 4K screens sitting side by side. For people on the go, Travel Mode now includes dedicated support for riding on trains. Additionally, Guest User profiles save for a full thirty days, meaning your friends do not have to repeat the setup process every time they borrow your headset.
These developer builds are likely the final testing versions before the official software ships to the public later this fall. The new tools and system improvements show that the company is committed to making its spatial headset much more capable for daily use.
