Apple is preparing its next Apple Watch fitness challenge, and this time the company is celebrating Global Running Day with a new limited-time activity event on June 3. Apple Watch users who complete the challenge will unlock a special digital award along with a new set of animated Fitness app stickers.
How to Complete the Challenge
The Global Running Day Challenge requires users to record a running workout of at least 5K, which equals 3.1 miles. Users can track the workout through the Workout app on Apple Watch or with any supported app that saves running data to the Health app.

Apple regularly introduces these fitness challenges to encourage users to stay active, and this one focuses completely on running ahead of the summer season.
Participants who complete the challenge will also receive four animated stickers inside the Fitness app. The stickers include a runner wearing a dinosaur costume, two people running together, a runner with a dog, and a colorful animated version of the 2026 Global Running Day award.
The challenge will only remain available on Wednesday, June 3, so Apple Watch users will need to complete their 5K run that day to unlock the rewards.
