iOS 27.2 developer beta 1 expands Siri AI beyond English, adding support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The update gives eligible testers a first chance to use Apple’s new Siri experience in six languages, although availability still depends on device support, region, and language settings.
Apple introduced Siri AI with iOS 27 as a more conversational assistant with personal context, onscreen awareness, and broader app actions. The initial release was limited to English. Apple had said the next group of languages would arrive in October, and they are now present in the developer beta.

Apple’s iOS 27 availability notes list the same languages and explain that new Apple Intelligence capabilities require supported products set to a supported language. That means changing the iPhone’s language alone may not be enough if the device is not eligible for Apple Intelligence.

What the language expansion does not guarantee
Language support does not make every Siri AI capability available in every country. Apple continues to set regional availability separately, and some functions depend on server-side models that can have usage limits. A feature that works for one tester in a supported language may still be unavailable to another because of their device, Apple Account region, or local rollout status.
As with any beta, the current behavior is not a final promise. Testers should expect gaps in regional availability and potentially different results across languages while Apple continues development. Still, the expansion is meaningful: Siri AI is beginning to move beyond an English-only launch.
