Apple has brought back its redesigned Health app with the release of iOS 27.3 developer beta 1, introducing personalized health insights, long-term wellness tracking, and expanded language support. The updated interface first appeared during iOS 27.2 beta testing in September before Apple removed it ahead of the public release.

The company removed the redesigned Health app from iOS 27.2 beta 4 in October without providing a detailed explanation. Its return in the latest beta suggests Apple is preparing to make the new experience available to everyone before the end of 2026.

What’s New in Apple’s Redesigned Health App?

According to Apple’s official announcement, the updated Health app uses Apple Intelligence to analyze health information and provide recommendations based on individual activity patterns.

The redesign introduces several features:

  • Insights tab: Displays daily summaries covering heart rate, sleep, fitness, readiness, vitals, and cycle tracking.
  • Personalized recommendations: A new For You section suggests improvements to daily habits based on collected health data.
  • Longevity tab: Tracks long-term health trends across seven categories, including heart health, sleep, movement, and nutrition.
  • Health Age: Compares biological health indicators with chronological age using Apple Watch metrics such as VO2 max, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability.
  • Movement evaluations: Uses the iPhone camera and Apple Watch to assess flexibility, strength, balance, and movement mechanics.

Apple says movement assessments use on-device AI processing, with no video recorded, stored, or shared.

Expanded Language Support and Availability

The redesigned Health app now supports global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

The experience requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone or iPad, while Health Age specifically requires an Apple Watch. Certain features also depend on regional availability and compatible hardware.

Apple has confirmed that the redesigned Health app will arrive through a free software update later this year, although it has not announced an exact public release date.

For now, registered developers can try the redesign by installing iOS 27.3 beta 1 through Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates.
