iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders opened at 12:00 UTC today in more than 65 countries, and Apple has published a specific financing figure for some of the biggest markets and none at all for two others. The UK gets 0 percent APR over 30 months with an exact monthly price per storage tier. Germany and Australia get no published figure of any kind.
That gap matters because Germany and Australia are both day-one markets, selling the same phone at the same launch, just without the financing page filling in the numbers the UK, Japan and Canada already show.
Key facts on financing by country
| Country | Financing terms Apple publishes |
|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 30 months, 0% APR, exact monthly price per tier |
| Japan | Paidy, 36 monthly instalments, 0% interest |
| Canada | Payment plans on approved credit, 7.99% APR, representative example given |
| India | No Cost EMI on 3 or 6 month tenures, plus a cashback ceiling |
| Germany | Not published |
| Australia | Not published |
What the UK, Japan and Canada actually show
Apple’s UK store lists 30 months at 0 percent APR for iPhone 18 Pro, with a monthly figure for every storage tier: Ā£39.96 for 256GB, Ā£46.63 for 512GB, Ā£59.96 for 1TB and Ā£79.96 for 2TB. Japan’s Apple Store names Paidy as the financing partner, running 36 monthly instalments at 0 percent interest. Canada publishes a representative example rather than a per-tier table: a $1,099 purchase repaid over 24 monthly payments of $49.70 comes to $1,192.79 in total, at 7.99% APR.

Three different structures, 0 percent over 30 months, 0 percent over 36, and 7.99 percent over 24, all stated plainly on Apple’s own regional stores.
Germany names a partner and stops there
Apple’s German store references Openbank Pay as a financing option, with terms spanning 3 to 36 months. No monthly payment figure, no APR, and no per-tier table accompanies that reference. A shopper on Germany’s iPhone 18 Pro page can see that instalments exist and cannot see what any of them cost.
Australia does not name a financing partner at all
Australia’s iPhone 18 Pro store page goes further in the other direction. It does not reference a financing partner, a term length or an APR next to the phone’s price. Whatever payment options exist for Australian buyers, Apple has not attached them to the iPhone 18 Pro listing itself.
France sits between the two extremes. Its store shows a generic instalment example through Cetelem, a 36-month illustration on a ā¬1,500 purchase at rates from 0 percent to 14.01 percent, but that example is not tied to any specific iPhone 18 Pro tier either.
Why this is worth checking before you buy
A reader in Germany or Australia comparing the sticker price against a UK or Japanese monthly figure is comparing a real number against one Apple has not yet supplied. Whatever a bank or retailer offers separately in either country is outside what Apple itself has stated, and this piece covers only what Apple has published on its own regional stores.
The retail price itself is not in question in any of the six markets. Apple has confirmed a 256GB starting price everywhere iPhone 18 Pro is sold on September 12, and the financing gap sits entirely on top of that already-published number.
| Country | iPhone 18 Pro, 256GB | Financing figure published |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | £1,199 | Yes, £39.96/mo |
| Japan | „219,800 | Yes, via Paidy |
| Canada | C$1,749 | Yes, representative example only |
| India | ā¹1,64,900 | Yes, EMI from ā¹26,316/mo |
| Germany | ā¬1,449 | Partner named, no figure |
| Australia | A$2,099 | No partner, no figure |
Lined up this way, Germany and Australia are the only two of the six where the price is fully public and the cost of spreading it across months is not. A reader pricing out iPhone 18 Pro in either country has the same starting number as everyone else and one fewer tool for planning around it.
