The highly anticipated iPhone Duo is bringing more than just a folding screen to the table. As buyers prepare for Apple to officially launch its new device in the coming weeks, software digs are revealing clever design updates tailored for it. A recent find shows that managing your notifications and alerts is about to get much easier right from the main display.
Users can switch Focus modes right from the lock screen
A code researcher named pdfu recently spotted a new software feature meant specifically for the upcoming foldable phone. When you have a Focus mode turned on, a new button shows up right above the bottom controls on the Lock Screen. This button lets you turn the active mode off and back on again without needing to leave the screen or pull down a menu.
When you unlock the device, your currently active Focus also shows up in the status bar right above the clock. This change makes it easier to know at a quick glance how your notifications are being filtered.

The company rebuilt iOS 27 so the software can quickly adjust as the phone opens and closes. Little interface tweaks like these show how the operating system is adapting to the new hardware shape.
If you are planning to pick up the device, you should prepare for early US pre-orders opening very soon. Adding fast toggles for everyday tasks means buyers will spend less time swiping through settings and more time actually using the new dual screens.
