Apple publishes a long specification list for the iPhone Duo’s two displays, and eight figures are missing from it. They start with any measurement of the crease and any durability rating for the folding panel, and they end with the absolute size of the screens Apple describes only as percentages.
That matters more than usual on this product, because nobody outside Apple has used an iPhone Duo and it does not go on sale until October 23. Until then, Apple’s pages are the only source, and what they leave out cannot be filled in by testing.

The durability figures that are absent
There is no crease measurement anywhere on Apple’s pages. Apple says the nano-texture finish creates a matte surface that “minimizes crease visibility,” which is a claim about how easily you notice it, not a depth or flatness figure.

There is also no fold-cycle rating. Apple describes a hinge of more than 100 components with custom adhesives and a titanium plate, and never states how many open and close cycles the phone or the panel is rated for.
The third gap sits on the surface you touch. Apple credits Ceramic Shield 2 on the outer display with three times better scratch resistance, and gives the inner display’s Apple-designed scratch-resistant coating no figure at all.
The optical figures that are absent
Apple publishes ProMotion up to 120Hz for both displays and never states the lower bound the adaptive refresh drops to, which is the figure that governs what an Always-On screen costs in battery.
It publishes no minimum brightness for either panel, so there is no published floor for reading in the dark. And the 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio appears in the inner display listing without being repeated for the outer one.
None of those absences is unique to the Duo, but they are more consequential here. Two Always-On panels on one battery is a new arrangement for an iPhone, and Apple’s only published battery concession is that the 24-hour typical use rating assumes equal use of both screens.
The measurements that are absent
Apple describes the inner display as 50 percent larger than the 6.9-inch iPhone 18 Pro Max panel and the outer display as more than 90 percent of the 6.3-inch iPhone 18 Pro. Neither is an area figure, and Apple publishes no square-inch or square-centimetre number for either display.
The folding panel’s own thickness is missing too. Apple publishes 5.2 mm for the whole phone open and 11.3 mm closed, along with 254 g, and nothing for the display stack inside that.

One further absence is worth noting alongside them: the polymer cover layer is credited with 40 percent higher stiffness than the industry standard, and Apple never names the standard it is measured against.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not said whether any of these figures will be published later, and it has issued no support or tech-spec documents for any product announced at the September 9 event. Display repair pricing is also unpublished, as is any guidance on screen protectors for a folding panel.
The next dates that could change that are Friday, October 16, when pre-orders open at 5 a.m. PT and Apple usually posts fuller support material, and Friday, October 23, when the phone reaches buyers in more than 70 countries and regions.
