Jon Prosser Challenges Apple’s Demand for YouTube Revenue and Channel Data

YouTuber Jon Prosser

YouTuber Jon Prosser is pushing back against Apple’s requests for channel revenue reports, analytics and third-party communications in the company’s trade-secret lawsuit over leaked iOS 26 information. His attorney argues that Prosser has already met the discovery obligations previously agreed with Apple.

A joint status report filed October 7 says Apple is still seeking records connected to Prosser’s alleged financial benefit and the acquisition and distribution of confidential material. Prosser’s side says Apple continues adding requests as documents are produced.

Prosser also argues that the software features Apple identified are now public following the release of iOS 26 and macOS 26, and questions whether earlier disclosures had already undermined their secrecy. Apple disputes that position and says testimony and Signal messages support its allegation that Prosser and co-defendant Michael Ramacciotti coordinated for financial gain.

The filing records competing claims, not a ruling

The court has not decided the merits of these arguments. A status report explains what each side wants during discovery, but it does not prove Apple’s allegations or Prosser’s defenses.

Apple filed the lawsuit in July 2025, alleging that the defendants accessed an employee’s development iPhone and used confidential software information in videos. Prosser has acknowledged participating in a FaceTime call where unreleased features were shown, while denying that he joined a coordinated plan to obtain trade secrets.

The Mac Observer’s original lawsuit report covers Apple’s allegations and Prosser’s initial response. Unless the court schedules an earlier conference, the parties expect to submit another update on December 2.
