Amazon has cut $600 from one 14-inch M5 Max MacBook Pro configuration for fall Prime Day. The model with 36GB of unified memory and a 2TB SSD is $3,499, down from its current $4,099 list price.
The Amazon product page showed the $3,499 price on October 6. Other 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro configurations carry smaller discounts, so the $600 saving should not be applied to the full lineup.
This is a high-end configuration intended for sustained creative and technical work. Buyers whose workloads do not need the M5 Max GPU or 36GB of memory can spend much less on an M5 Pro model, even after accounting for the larger discount.

The offer includes 2TB of internal storage, which accounts for part of the price. Memory and storage are not user-upgradeable, so buyers should decide whether they need that capacity rather than choosing the model only because it has the largest dollar discount.
MacObserver’s M5 Pro and M5 Max review roundup covers performance and battery observations. Buyers in the UK and EU should also know that some regional packages omit the charger, although this Amazon offer is for the U.S. market.
Prime Big Deal Days ends October 7, but the listing can change sooner. Confirm the 36GB and 2TB specification, seller and final price before ordering.
A redesigned MacBook Pro is rumored, but Apple has not announced it. This deal should be judged on the current model’s confirmed hardware and price today.
