Ted Lasso season 4 now has a clearer launch window, and fans will not have to wait much longer. The Ted Lasso season 4 release date is set for August, according to one of the show’s lead stars. Apple TV plans to bring back the hit comedy three years after season 3 ended, and this time the story shifts in a new direction with a women’s team at the center.
Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, revealed the timing during a recent interview. She confirmed that the new season will arrive in late summer.
Speaking to Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye, Waddingham said:
“August, I think. Am I allowed to say August? August!…I think it’s August.”
Her comment strongly points to an August premiere on Apple TV. The platform first launched Ted Lasso in August 2020, followed by season 2 in July 2021 and season 3 in March 2023.

Season 4 will see Jason Sudeikis return as Ted Lasso, but this time he will coach a women’s squad known as the “Lady Greyhounds.” Waddingham has already used that phrase in interviews, signaling a fresh start for the club.
The August debut also places the series shortly after the 2026 World Cup in July, which the United States, Mexico, and Canada will co host.
