Apple appears to be preparing tvOS 27.2.1 and macOS 27.2.1 updates, just over a week after releasing both operating systems’ 27.2 versions on October 26. Evidence of upcoming tvOS software has surfaced, while macOS could receive an important security fix.

The updates would follow reports that Apple is also testing iOS 27.2.1 for iPhones.

What to Expect From These Updates

According to MacRumors, contributor Aaron Perris discovered evidence of tvOS 27.2.1, suggesting Apple is preparing another maintenance release for Apple TV.

Meanwhile, macOS 27.2.1 could address compromised eMudhra certificates that some Terminal utilities, including curl and git, still accept.

Apple confirmed that additional protection is coming:

These changes will be available in a future software update, and you won’t need to edit any files to get them.

Both updates will likely focus on security improvements and bug fixes rather than major features.

Apple has yet to announce their release dates. For now, tvOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 remain the latest public versions.
