Verizon has apologized to customers facing delays with their iPhone Duo pre-orders and is offering a $100 gift card as compensation. The carrier confirmed an unexpected shipping delay affecting some orders originally scheduled for delivery on October 23, the official launch date of Apple’s first foldable iPhone.

In an email sent to affected customers, Verizon assured buyers that their orders remain secure and their positions in the delivery queue have not changed. The company also confirmed that eligible customers will receive a separate email containing details about their $100 Verizon gift card during the week of October 26.

How to Get Verizon’s $100 Gift Card

Customers whose iPhone Duo pre-orders have been delayed should receive the compensation automatically, provided Verizon has identified their orders as affected.

iPhone Duo Shipping Dates Slip Into November

Several Verizon customers who originally expected their iPhone Duo on October 23 are now seeing estimated deliveries between October 31 and November 14.

One customer who placed an order on October 16 reported that Verizon moved the expected delivery date from October 23 to November 7, adding another 15 days to the wait.

As we previously covered, iPhone Duo shipping estimates began slipping into December and January shortly after pre-orders opened, indicating strong initial demand and limited availability.

However, some customers have also reported earlier-than-expected deliveries, suggesting shipping timelines continue to change.

How to Check Your iPhone Duo Order Status

If you ordered through Verizon, you can check the latest delivery estimate directly:

  1. Visit Verizon’s website or open the My Verizon app.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Navigate to Account > Orders.
  4. Select your iPhone Duo pre-order.
  5. Tap View Details to check the delivery estimate and available tracking information.

Verizon has yet to explain the exact cause of the shipping delays or confirm how many customers are affected. For now, buyers should monitor their order status and watch for the compensation email.
