Apple has now pushed visionOS 26.3 to the public, closing the 26.3 beta cycle. Developers saw a Release Candidate earlier in the month, and the final public build is now rolling out to Apple Vision Pro users.
The final release uses build number 23N620, which is a small step up from the earlier RC build (23N619). That usually means Apple made last-minute fixes before the wider rollout.
If you were tracking the beta timeline, the next expected step is visionOS 26.4 betas.
How to update to visionOS 26.3
- Put on Apple Vision Pro and open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap Software Update.
- Follow the prompts to download and install.
Keep in mind: the headset needs to be off your face during installation, and you can track progress on the external display.
Changes in visionOS 26.3
This is a maintenance update. Apple’s notes describe it as a release focused on bug fixes and security improvements, rather than new headline features.
Apple positions 26.3 as a recommended update, mainly because it improves reliability and tightens security.
One specific fix called out during the cycle targets PlayStation VR2 Sense controller input, with improved button response behavior in affected cases.
If your headset felt a little rough on the prior build, this update aims to smooth out those edges with background fixes that do not change how the system looks day to day.
If you have installed visionOS 26.3, share what you noticed, good or bad, in the comments.
