Buying the three headline products from today’s Apple event at their US starting prices costs $1,727: $1,199 for the iPhone 18 Pro, $129 for AirPods 5 and $399 for Apple Watch Series 12. Choosing the top option in each category, the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299, AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case at $149 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 at $799, brings the total to $2,247.

The iPhone accounts for most of the difference from last year. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are each $100 more than the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, while Series 12 and Ultra 4 hold at the same $399 and $799 starting prices as Series 11 and Ultra 3. Our iPhone 18 Pro announcement coverage has the full breakdown of what the extra $100 buys.

Where the bundle can get more expensive

The totals above are floors, not ceilings. The iPhone 18 Pro comes in 512GB, 1TB and, for the first time, 2TB, but Apple has not published the prices of those tiers in its release. Apple Watch Series 12 is $399 only in aluminum; the titanium and new ceramic cases cost more, and Apple has not published those prices or the cellular premium either.

Bands are another unlisted variable. Apple announced new Sport Band, Sport Loop, Milanese Loop and Modern Buckle options for Series 12, and new Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band colors for Ultra 4, without publishing band prices. The iPhone 18 Pro’s updated Clear Case, silicone case, FineWoven case and wrist strap are also unpriced in the release.

What the $20 AirPods upgrade and the $400 watch gap buy

The $20 step from AirPods 5 to the Wireless Charging Case model buys a force sensor with swipe volume control and a case that charges on Apple Watch chargers, Qi chargers and USB-C. The earbuds themselves, including Active Noise Cancellation and up to 5 hours of listening with ANC on, are the same. Our AirPods 5 announcement story has the details.

The $400 gap between Series 12 and Ultra 4 buys a titanium case, up to 50 hours of battery against 24, an 84-hour Low Power Mode, a 45-hour Max Extended Workout mode and satellite communications with two years included. The S11 chip, Health Sensing System and Readiness score are the same on both, so the health features do not depend on which watch you pick.

AirPods 5 and both watches can be pre-ordered today, with the iPhones following on Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT. All of them arrive on Friday, September 18. If the iPhone Duo is on your list instead, the keynote put it at about $2,000 in October, which on its own exceeds the entry bundle above; see our iPhone Duo price coverage for what is known.
