Two accessories are worth adding when iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders open on Saturday: a case, from $49, and a power adapter if you do not already own a fast one. Apple puts a 1 m USB-C cable in the box and nothing else.
Everything else Apple sells for the phone, the wallet and the two straps, will be on the same page at the same price in October. None of it is tied to launch stock, and none of it changes what the phone does.

What is in the box, and what is not
Apple lists the iPhone 18 Pro box contents as the iPhone with iOS 27 installed and a 1 m USB-C Charge Cable. There is no power adapter, no case and no pad.
That matters more this year than last, because the headline charging claim is tied to a specific class of adapter. Apple rates iPhone 18 Pro at up to 50 percent in around 15 minutes with a 60W USB-C adapter, up to 50 percent in 30 minutes using MagSafe with a 35W adapter, and caps both MagSafe and Qi2 at 25W. Buy on day one: a case
Apple’s cheapest iPhone 18 Pro case is $49, for either the Clear Case with MagSafe or the Silicone Case with MagSafe. The TechWoven Case with MagSafe is $59.
The argument for buying with the phone is timing rather than money. A case protects the device from the first day you carry it, and the phone starts at $1,199 for the 6.3-inch model and $1,299 for the Pro Max.
Apple has not published a screen or rear-glass repair price for iPhone 18 Pro, and it has not published an AppleCare Plus price for the model either, so there is no arithmetic we can show you comparing a $49 case against a repair bill. The case is cheap in absolute terms, which is the honest version of that argument.
Buy on day one: an adapter, but only if you need one
If you already own a USB-C adapter rated at 60W or more, you have what Apple’s fastest published claim asks for and you can skip this line entirely. Most people upgrading from a recent iPhone will.
If you do not, the current Apple adapter in that class is the 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max. Apple has not published a price for it, or for its MagSafe Charger, in any of the storefronts we checked. Neither appears in the September 9 press releases, and Apple’s accessory pages serve their prices in the browser rather than in the page itself, so budget for the adapter without a firm figure.
What can wait: the wallet and the straps
Apple prices the FineWoven Wallet at $59, the Crossbody Strap at $59 and the Wrist Strap at $29. All three are conveniences rather than protection, and all three are independent of which iPhone you own.
The same logic applies to a second Apple product bought in the same basket. AirPods 5 at $129, or $149 with the Wireless Charging Case, is a separate purchase decision that will read exactly the same in November.

Every figure comes from Apple’s regional newsroom pricing sections published on September 9. Apple has not published UK, French, Indian or Japanese accessory prices for iPhone 18 Pro, and the phone prices themselves vary by storefront in the same way.
What Apple has not said
Apple has published no price for the 60W-class adapter or the MagSafe Charger, no repair prices for iPhone 18 Pro, and no AppleCare Plus price for it. The only launch coverage figure Apple has published is AppleCare One at $19.99 a month for up to three products, from its July 2025 announcement.
Apple has also not said whether case stock will be constrained at launch, and no delivery estimates exist for anything in this list because iPhone 18 Pro orders have not opened yet.
