The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299 for 256GB in the US and reaches $2,499 for the new 2TB tier, according to Apple’s Store page. In the UK the same four tiers run from £1,299 to £2,499, and in India from ₹1,79,900 to ₹3,29,900. In every one of those markets the Pro Max sits a fixed amount above the iPhone 18 Pro at each tier.
Apple’s press release only gave the 256GB starting prices, which we covered in our iPhone 18 Pro price explainer. The Store pages in all three countries now list every configuration, so the full Pro Max ladder can be compared against the smaller phone for the first time.

The US and UK numbers are the same digits in different currencies: $1,299 and £1,299 at 256GB, $2,499 and £2,499 at 2TB. We are not converting between currencies here, because Apple sets each list independently and the exchange rate on any given day would change the answer.
The Pro Max premium is flat at every tier
In the US, $1,299 minus $1,199 is $100 at 256GB, and $2,499 minus $2,399 is the same $100 at 2TB. The UK works the same way: £1,299 minus £1,199 is £100, and £2,499 minus £2,399 is £100. In India, ₹1,79,900 minus ₹1,64,900 is ₹15,000, and ₹3,29,900 minus ₹3,14,900 is again ₹15,000.
That premium buys the 6.9-inch 2868 by 1320 display instead of the 6.3-inch 2622 by 1206 panel, and Apple’s longer battery ratings: up to 45 hours of video playback and 30 hours of typical use on the Pro Max against 36 and 24 hours on the Pro, per Apple’s tech specs. The cameras, A20 Pro chip and storage options are the same on both, which is why the Pro vs Pro Max decision comes down to size and battery.
What each storage step costs on the Pro Max
The steps between tiers are identical on the two phones, so the Pro Max premium never grows. In the US, 256GB to 512GB is $200 ($1,299 to $1,499), 512GB to 1TB is $400 ($1,499 to $1,899), and 1TB to 2TB is $600 ($1,899 to $2,499). Adding those up, $200 plus $400 plus $600 is $1,200, which is the full gap between the cheapest and most expensive Pro Max.
The UK follows the same pattern in pounds: £200, then £400, then £600, for a £1,200 spread between £1,299 and £2,499. India’s steps are ₹25,000 (₹1,79,900 to ₹2,04,900), ₹50,000 (₹2,04,900 to ₹2,54,900) and ₹75,000 (₹2,54,900 to ₹3,29,900), which total ₹1,50,000.

One consequence: in all three countries the Pro Max premium is smaller than the cheapest storage upgrade. Moving from a 256GB Pro to a 256GB Pro Max costs $100, £100 or ₹15,000, while moving from 256GB to 512GB on either phone costs $200, £200 or ₹25,000.
Monthly figures Apple shows for the Pro Max
Apple’s US press release quotes the 256GB Pro Max at $54.12 a month for 24 months; 24 times $54.12 is $1,298.88, a few cents under the $1,299 list price. Apple has not published US monthly figures for the higher tiers.
Apple’s UK Store page lists 30-month, 0 percent APR figures for every tier: £43.30, £49.96, £63.30 and £83.30. Multiplying by 30 gives £1,299.00, £1,498.80, £1,899.00 and £2,499.00, so the plan tracks the cash price to within 20p. In India, Apple’s Store page shows EMI from ₹28,817, ₹32,983, ₹41,317 and ₹53,817 a month, with up to six months of No Cost EMI and up to ₹7,000 instant cashback on eligible cards.
Pre-orders open at 5 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 12 in the US, 1:00 pm BST in the UK and 5:30 pm IST in India, with availability on Friday, September 18.
