Claude Adds Spotify Integration for Music and Podcasts

Claude Spotify Integration

Spotify is celebrating its twentieth birthday today by teaming up with Anthropic to launch a handy new tool. The popular audio company just added direct integration with the Claude application, giving users in the USA and other places a fresh way to find and play favorite shows.

You can now link a streaming account straight into the smart assistant on both desktop computers and mobile phones to control what you hear.

Or get it by email

When you hook up a Spotify profile, Claude looks at your past listening history to suggest new media. The assistant taps into the massive audio catalog to find songs and podcasts that match your personal taste.

You can preview short audio clips and save any tracks you like straight to your main library without ever leaving the chat window. It makes discovering new artists much faster and feels very natural.

The platform also lets you control what is playing right inside the main interface. Because the setup uses the existing Spotify Connect feature, switching music between a phone, a computer, or smart home speakers takes only a second.

Premium subscribers ask the bot to build playlists

While anyone with a free plan can use the basic audio tools, paying customers get an extra perk. If you pay for a Premium subscription, you can ask Claude to make an entirely new playlist just by describing a certain vibe, feeling, or activity. You simply type in a quick text prompt, and the program instantly builds a custom list of tracks to match your exact request.

This marks a big step for how Anthropic handles outside media within its own software. By working together, the audio giant ensures its listeners spend less time hunting for the right track and more time actually enjoying the sound. The new setup keeps all media choices simple, organized, and right at your fingertips while you chat.
