The audio brand owned by Apple is turning the World Cup into its own runway. The company keeps showing off an unreleased pair of over-ear headphones on the necks of major soccer players. Fresh social media photos reveal multiple color combinations, hinting that the final product might let buyers mix and match parts. With all this public exposure, a formal launch seems just weeks away.
Soccer stars show off new color options for unreleased headphones
Lamine Yamal was the first player spotted wearing a light pink version of the new headphones. Now, U.S. soccer star Antonee Robinson and South Korea’s Lee Kang-in have posted Instagram photos wearing the exact same model.
The most interesting detail from the photos is the color scheme. Kang-in is wearing a white pair with lime green ear cushions. Robinson has a white pair with dark blue ear cushions. This is a big change from the solid single colors that Beats normally picks for its product releases. This mixed color approach suggests buyers might be able to pick and choose different colored parts to build their own custom look.
A closer look at the photos reveals a very thin disk for the main speaker section. This thin edge holds the sensors, a USB-C charging port, and standard button controls. In contrast, the ear cushions are thick, meaning the company probably hid most of the internal parts deep inside the padding.
If this is just an update to a current model, the 2023 Studio Pro is the most obvious guess. Whatever the final name ends up being, the company clearly wants fans paying attention right now. Putting unreleased gear on the top athletes is a proven playbook, so an official store drop is likely right around the corner.
