Pocket Casts is making the jump from your mobile phone to the biggest screen in your house. Starting today, you can download a brand new native app directly to your Apple TV. This update makes it super easy to enjoy your favorite audio shows right from the couch. You no longer need to cast audio from your phone or deal with annoying syncing problems.
You can pick up right where you left off
The new television app is completely free to download and links right to your normal account. Once you log in, it immediately pulls up all your subscribed shows, your past listening history, and your current queue.

This automatic sync means you can start a long episode on the bus and finish it later at home without having to search for the right spot. The app remembers exactly where you paused the audio on your phone and picks up the playback flawlessly on the television.
A similar app for Android TV is coming soon
While fans of Apple devices get to try the living room experience first, other platforms are next in line. The team behind the podcast player confirmed that a version for Android TV is already in the works and will drop very soon.
This television launch caps off a very busy summer for Pocket Casts, which recently added a fresh look to its mobile app and better car dashboard features. Giving people a simple native way to play audio on the big screen just makes the whole service much more useful when you are hanging out at home.
