Daniela leaves Jason because living beside him no longer feels separate from the multiverse trauma that changed her. She still loves her husband, but every Jason shares his face and possibilities. His decision to keep solving the Box makes the danger feel present even in their quiet new life.
The ending is not a confirmed divorce. Daniela tells Jason that he remains her person and that she remains his. What she cannot do is stay while fear, guilt and his equations keep defining who she is. She needs distance to understand herself outside the family’s cycle of escape.

Daniela can no longer feel safe beside Jason
Episode 4 shows that the threat now lives inside Daniela’s reactions. She thinks she sees other Jasons and rushes toward one near Charlie, only to learn that Charlie did not see the man she describes. The scenes do not confirm another variant is stalking her. They show how Jason’s familiar face has stopped guaranteeing safety.
Daniela has been deceived by a Jason, threatened by Jasons and forced to make choices she once would not have imagined. A new apartment and a quieter world cannot erase those experiences. Once Charlie leaves for college, the silence removes the last distraction from what she has been avoiding.
Jason’s solution keeps the Box in their marriage
Jason believes he is protecting the family. He works on quantum-entanglement equations because destroying one Box did not end the network. His proposed answer is to disentangle their Box from every other version, cutting their world off without stepping into the corridor again.
For Daniela, the motive does not change the effect. Jason is still giving his attention to the machine that shattered their lives. Each attempted fix asks her to wait for one more breakthrough while accepting that another visitor, another Box or another version of her husband may appear.
The ending is a separation, not a divorce
When Jason asks what he can do, Daniela says there is nothing he can do for her right now. That answer rejects another technical rescue. She is choosing agency after a season in which Jason repeatedly framed safety as a problem only he could solve.
