Apple TV has reportedly returned The Savant to its release calendar, with the Jessica Chastain thriller now targeting spring 2027. The new window follows more than a year of uncertainty and replaces earlier plans that never turned into a premiere.

TheWrap confirmed the spring 2027 window on September 20. Apple has not yet announced a specific date on its press site or updated the show with a public episode schedule, so the season should still be treated as a window rather than a locked premiere day.

The eight-episode limited series was originally scheduled to debut with two episodes on September 26, 2025. Apple postponed it three days earlier. At the time, the company said it had made the decision after careful consideration and would release the show later, without giving a reason.

What The Savant is about

Chastain plays an undercover investigator who enters online hate groups to identify extremists before they carry out violence. The cast also includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, and Toussaint Francois Battiste. Pablo Schreiber appears as a guest star.

Apple’s original trailer announcement remains online with the old 2025 schedule. MacObserver’s cast and release-status guide provides more background, while our report on the missed summer 2026 plan shows how often the target has moved.

A spring window gives Apple several months to announce a firm date and restart promotion. Until that happens, viewers should not assume the series will arrive in a particular month.

The original marketing described a weekly rollout after a two-episode premiere. No source has confirmed that Apple will keep that pattern in 2027. The company could also revise episode dates when it restarts promotion. Apple’s TV app still needs a current listing before viewers can add a reliable date to their calendars with confidence.
