The team at Apple just rolled out a major software update for its Creator Studio suite, bringing new capabilities to nearly every application in the collection. The most noticeable change gives video editors the power to adjust focus points and depth of field on footage shot natively on the new iPhone 18 Pro. It also introduces fresh image editing templates, smarter presentation features, and better file sharing options across the board.
Change focus points in videos and refine complex image selections
For video creators using Final Cut Pro and Motion on the Mac, you can now apply Cinematic mode effects directly to clips. Final Cut Pro lets you shift the focus and change the depth of field right from the editing timeline. If you use Compressor, the app now handles these new effects and adds handy export presets tailored for social media uploads.
Image editing is also getting a boost. Pixelmator Pro on the iPad now includes Select and Mask controls to help you isolate difficult subjects like hair and fur. The app is also packed with new artwork templates for sports, business, and podcasts to speed up your creative workflow.

Build smarter presentations and organize your shared whiteboard files better
The productivity side of Creator Studio received plenty of attention as well. Keynote now uses Apple Intelligence to generate custom images directly inside your slides. Pages adds a dedicated Screen View for reading and writing, while Numbers gains new math and logic functions. You can also request access to shared files across all three of these office apps.
Freeform boards finally support Dark Mode and include folders to keep your workspace tidy. You can use the built-in writing tools to proofread, rewrite, or summarize your handwritten notes. If you work in a shared environment, it is much easier to manage access requests and pull board items into a 3D view using a headset.
At $12.99 a month, Creator Studio sits comfortably between other popular creative and office subscription plans. These new updates make the bundle much more useful for people who shoot video on a smartphone and want to tweak the results on a larger screen later.
