Spoilers for The Sisters Grimm follow. Puck is the fairy trickster from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, recast in Ferryport Landing as an unruly young Everafter. He helps Sabrina and Daphne because their adventures have turned an initially chaotic acquaintance into a real friendship, even when he hides that loyalty behind jokes and irritation.
Billy Harris voices Puck in Apple TV’s animated adaptation. Season 2 keeps him beside the Grimm sisters and Mirror, which confirms that he is no longer just a magical complication. He has become one of the people Sabrina and Daphne can call when a mystery becomes dangerous.

Puck brings Shakespeare into Ferryport Landing
The series treats famous literary and fairy-tale figures as Everafters, beings whose stories became part of human culture. Puck comes from Shakespeare rather than a Brothers Grimm tale, but he fits the town perfectly. He is magical, proud of his tricks and resistant to ordinary rules.

That background explains why Sabrina does not immediately see him as dependable. She arrives in Ferryport Landing determined to protect Daphne and distrusts the impossible world Granny Relda reveals. Puck’s delight in disorder makes him look like exactly the sort of person Sabrina should avoid.
Helping the sisters gives Puck a purpose
Puck’s actions gradually matter more than his performance. He helps the girls when the Grimm family is in danger and uses abilities they do not possess. His flight, magic and knowledge of Everafters make him useful, but usefulness alone does not explain why he stays. The sisters treat him as a person, not simply as a character trapped in an old story.
Daphne’s openness gives Puck an easy path into the group. Sabrina’s approval is harder to earn, which is why their arguments carry weight. Every time Puck returns to help after being dismissed or challenged, he proves that the bond matters to him.
His bond with Sabrina is more than teasing
The adaptation leaves room for the affection between Puck and Sabrina that develops across Michael Buckley’s books. Season 2 does not need to turn that connection into a simple romance for it to matter. Puck challenges Sabrina’s certainty, while Sabrina asks him to care about consequences.
The tension also gives the mysteries more energy. Sabrina plans, questions and protects; Puck improvises and provokes. Their methods frequently collide, yet each can do things the other cannot. Daphne often sees that partnership more clearly than either of them admits. So Puck helps because the Grimms have become his chosen team. He may prefer to describe each rescue as entertainment, but his repeated decisions show loyalty underneath the mischief. Do you think Sabrina already understands how much Puck cares?
