Last Seen has not yet provided a complete, independently verified account of Henry’s father. What Episode 4 establishes is why Henry would run toward his father’s compound: it offers a controlled refuge after Jenna exposes Sarah’s identity and police reach the family home.
Henry takes Sarah because losing control of her means losing the life he built around the claim that she is his daughter. The compound can isolate her from Ian, limit outside information and surround Henry with people or resources he expects to trust.

The compound is about control, not safety alone
Henry’s home stops being secure the moment Ian and Bill arrive. Ian recognizes Sarah as Maggie, the childhood toy triggers a memory, and Jenna admits Sarah is not biologically theirs. Henry can no longer preserve his story by repeating it in a familiar room.
A compound changes the balance. Its distance and controlled access could slow the police while giving Henry time to tell Sarah that Ian is the threat. It also reduces Jenna’s opportunity to seek help after her confession breaks their shared silence.
Henry’s father represents an inherited system
The reference to Henry’s father expands the mystery beyond one couple’s decision. A family compound suggests history, authority and a structure that may have helped Henry believe he could keep Sarah hidden. The series still needs to clarify exactly what his father knew and when.
That uncertainty matters. It would be unsafe to assume the older man planned Maggie’s disappearance merely because Henry is heading toward him. The supported conclusion is narrower: Henry considers his father’s territory the strongest place available after the truth reaches law enforcement.
Sarah is becoming harder for Henry to deceive
Sarah heard Jenna’s confession and reacted to an object from Maggie’s childhood. Physical distance cannot erase either experience. Henry may be able to control where she goes, but he cannot restore her unquestioning belief that her identity was settled.
Jenna may be the immediate weakness in that plan. She has already contradicted Henry once, and her injury could force contact with outsiders before they reach the refuge. If she speaks again, Sarah will have another reason to resist the story Henry is trying to rebuild.
That makes the journey to the compound dangerous for Henry as well as Sarah. Every explanation he gives can now be tested against Jenna’s words and Sarah’s own memory.
