Apple Opens 2026 Swift Student Challenge Submissions in February

Students who participated in the 2026 Swift Student Challenge are finally getting their results. Apple has started sending out notifications to the young developers who submitted coding projects during the February entry window. If you entered, you can log into the developer portal right now to check your status.

The company selected a total of 350 winners this year to recognize their creativity and programming skills.

Here are the rewards for the selected winners

Winning the competition comes with several prizes. Apple is giving each of its 350 successful students a pair of AirPods Max 2, a personalized certificate, and a free one year membership to its developer program. Winners also earn the chance to take a Swift certification exam at no cost.

Additionally, these students can enter a lottery system to attend the kickoff event for WWDC 2026 at Apple Park, which takes place on Monday, June 8. Those who do not secure a spot in person can still stream all the announcements online using the developer app.

There are special perks for distinguished winners

Out of the main group, Apple highlighted 50 people as distinguished winners for submitting truly outstanding work. These individuals receive an even better reward. The company is inviting them on a guaranteed three day trip to Cupertino.

They do not have to worry about the lottery to get in. While visiting the campus, these top students will attend the main keynote presentation and get direct access to meet with software engineers.

Some notable projects this year included an application that generates podcasts using artificial intelligence and an interactive tool to teach kids about allergies.
