Apple recently sent out invites for its September 9 “Surprise and shine” presentation. Tech fans are already studying the new Apple event logo for clues about unreleased products. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the glowing graphic might secretly reveal two major updates coming to the iPhone 18 Pro. We could be looking at a completely redesigned camera system along with a brand new color option.
The glowing graphic suggests a variable aperture and blue finish
Gurman believes the shining light behind the logo represents a mechanical aperture. This hardware change could be heading straight to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. A variable aperture works like a traditional camera lens, letting users manually control how much light hits the sensor. This setup gives you much better focus control and depth of field in your photos. However, reports suggest this hardware upgrade might only be available on the larger model, rather than the standard Pro.
The sky blue color used in the event invite also caught some attention. Gurman suggests this points to a new Light Blue finish for the upcoming phones. Other sources expect the company to release the device in Light Blue, Dark Gray, Silver, and a new Dark Cherry shade.
