Apple Expands Education Store Discounts To Include The Apple Watch

Apple releases watchOS 8.8.2 and 5.3.10 for older Apple Watch models, bringing stability updates and continued support for legacy devices.

Apple just added its popular smartwatches to the education store in several countries. Students and teachers can now grab the latest wearable tech for less money. This update means you do not have to pay full price if you are heading back to school or teaching a class. It is a big win for anyone wanting a smart device to track health and stay connected on campus.

The company offers up to ten percent off wearable devices

The Apple Watch Series 11 and SE models are now available with a price cut of up to 10 percent. For example, students in Australia can pick up the Series 11 for $609 instead of the standard $679. The SE model drops from $399 down to $369.

These deals initially went live in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company quickly updated its list to include even more regions. The latest rollout brings these lower prices to France, Germany, India, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, and the UK.

Unidays verifies student and staff status before applying the discount

To get the lower prices, buyers need to prove they are enrolled in a school or work for an educational institution. Apple uses the UNiDAYS platform to handle this verification step for its customers. You just need a valid school email address or an official student ID to sign up on the portal.

Once your status is confirmed, the education store unlocks the discounted rates. Turkey is the newest market to adopt this UNiDAYS system for the smartwatch line, while other regions already use the portal for existing student discounts on Macs and iPads. Getting set up takes only a few minutes.

Adding a smartwatch to the education lineup makes sense since students rely heavily on these devices for fitness tracking and calendar alerts. If you qualify, taking advantage of the savings is a smart move before the next semester begins.
