Apple will sell every Apple Home Collection accessory through its own stores, but repairs and support will come from LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Each product page in the Apple Store carries a warranty note saying Apple’s Limited Warranty does not apply to these non-Apple-branded devices.

That matters for a lineup Apple promotes heavily under its own name. Our Apple Home Collection launch story covers the products and prices; this piece covers who you call when something breaks.
What Apple’s warranty note says
Every Apple Home Collection product page we checked carries the same Warranty Note. It reads:
Don’t miss the best of The Mac Observer
Set us as a preferred source and our Apple reporting ranks higher in your Google Search results and Discover feed — one tap, no account changes.
“Products sold through this website that do not bear the Apple brand name are serviced and supported exclusively by their manufacturers in accordance with terms and conditions packaged with the products. Apple’s Limited Warranty does not apply to products that are not Apple branded, even if packaged or sold with Apple products. Please contact the manufacturer directly for technical support and customer service.”
This is standard wording for third-party accessories in the Apple Store, but it reads differently here. Apple’s Apple Home Collection press release describes a lineup “designed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric,” with everything managed in the Home app and “no separate app or account required.” The branding on the device itself is what decides who services it.
Which products are affected
We checked the Apple Store page for each product below. All carry the warranty note, and none mention AppleCare.
| Product | Maker | Apple U.S. price | Warranty term on Apple’s page |
|---|---|---|---|
| LG Smart Deadbolt Lock | LG | $349.95 | Not listed |
| LG Video Doorbell Wired | LG | $249.95 | Not listed |
| LG Floodlight Cam | LG | $399.95 | Not listed |
| LG Outdoor Cam Plug-in | LG | $299.95 | Not listed |
| LG Indoor Cam Plug-in | LG | $199.95 | Not listed |
| LG Smart Thermostat | LG | $199.95 | Not listed |
| LG Temperature Sensor | LG | $39.95 | Not listed |
| Schneider Home Smart Thermostat | Schneider Electric | $199.95 | Not listed |
| Schneider Home Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector | Schneider Electric | $59.95 | 2 years from manufacture date |
The Power Mount, a Schneider accessory for Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted), is the only page in the group that states a warranty length. Its spec sheet lists “Warranty: 2 years from manufacture date.” For everything else, Apple’s note says the terms and conditions come packaged with the product.
No AppleCare on these pages
None of the pages above offer AppleCare+ or mention AppleCare One. Compare that with the buy page for Apple HomeView, an Apple-branded device, which includes an AppleCare section explaining which products AppleCare One can cover.
So if you are budgeting for extended protection on a lock or camera, plan on the manufacturer’s coverage only. Apple’s store pages do not show a paid add-on for these products.
What Apple still handles
Apple remains the seller, so the purchase itself runs through Apple. Apple’s U.S. Returns and Refunds Policy says: “You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. Only items that have been purchased directly from Apple, either online or at an Apple Retail Store, can be returned to Apple.”
In practice, a return or exchange in that window goes to Apple. A fault after that goes to LG or Schneider. Professional installation is a third route: Apple says Apple Retail offers third-party installation from ADT for an additional charge in the U.S., and the store pages point to installation.adt.com for availability and pricing.
Where to go for LG support
LG’s release frames these products as working with both apps, saying the lineup comes “with support for Apple Home and LG ThinQ apps.” LG’s U.S. support site offers online chat and email support, and it asks you to enter your model number to find help for a specific product.
Keep the warranty terms that come in the box with your proof of purchase from Apple, since those terms govern any claim.
Where to go for Schneider support
Schneider Electric’s release says the Smart Thermostat and Power Mount sit within its Schneider Home residential portfolio and points customers to schneiderhome.com to learn more. Schneider also says “more details will be shared” at CES 2027 in Las Vegas.
Apple’s pages list Schneider manufacturer part numbers, which are worth noting for any support request: SAH231111 for the Schneider Home Smart Thermostat, and SAH111301 to SAH111308 for the Power Mount variants.
The short version
- Buy from Apple, return to Apple within 14 calendar days.
- After that, LG or Schneider Electric handles repairs and support under the terms packed in the box.
- Apple’s Limited Warranty does not cover these products, and no AppleCare option appears on their pages.
- Keep the box insert, the receipt and the model or part number together.
