Every product sets up with one tap with iPhone and is managed entirely in the Home app, with no separate app or account required. Apple will sell the lineup at apple.com/store, in the Apple Store app and at Apple Store locations, but has not said which accessories slip to early 2027.

ā€œApple Home Collection makes it easy to choose smart home accessories with confidence,ā€ said Matthew Costello, Apple’s vice president of Hardware Engineering. ā€œWorking closely with industry leaders LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, we designed every accessory to work seamlessly with Apple Home, so managing your home is simple, reliable, and private.ā€

Cameras and video doorbell

LG makes all four cameras. Each one captures up to 2.5K resolution video and recognizes people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Video history is stored in a supported iCloud+ plan, so there is no separate camera subscription.

  • Video Doorbell: dual cameras, with a 2.5K front camera and a full HD bottom camera for packages, plus a built-in spotlight and a chime that plays through HomeView, HomePod and HomePod mini.
  • Floodlight Cam: adaptive dual floodlights that turn on automatically when motion is detected, plus low-light color night vision.
  • Outdoor Cam: low-light color night vision and an adjustable angle, with simple self-installation.
  • Indoor Cam: tilts up to view the room when you check in and tilts back down to stop monitoring as soon as the first member of the household returns.

iCloud+ gives each camera 10 days of event video history. Per Apple’s fine print, the 50GB plan covers one camera, the 200GB plan up to five cameras and the 2TB plan an unlimited number. On eligible plans, Apple Intelligence adds automatic video descriptions and natural language search of footage.

LG and Schneider Electric Smart Thermostats for Apple Home Collection
The Schneider Electric and LG Smart Thermostats both support Adaptive Temperature in the Home app.

Smart Deadbolt Lock

LG’s Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband to tell when you are approaching the door. With a home key on a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, the door unlocks automatically as you walk up, with no tapping required. You can also tap to unlock with iPhone or Apple Watch, use the integrated PIN pad or fall back on a hidden backup key slot.

The lock senses whether the door has been opened, closed or tampered with, and alerts you if the door is open even while locked. The lock is Matter compatible, supports Aliro and works entirely locally, so core access functions keep working without an internet connection.

Paired with the doorbell, the lock forms a front-door system in the Home app: you can see who is there, talk to the visitor and unlock the door from one view or by asking Siri.

Smart Thermostats from LG and Schneider Electric

There are two Smart Thermostats, one from each partner, so buyers can pick the one that fits their home’s energy ecosystem. Adaptive Temperature in the Home app uses on-device intelligence from iPhone to adjust the thermostats based on whether someone is home, winding down at night or away, with no manual scheduling.

In the contiguous U.S., Clean Energy Guidance can shift heating and cooling to cleaner, lower-cost periods for users with a compatible utility plan. The thermostats can read temperature and humidity from the new standalone sensors or from the sensors built into HomeView, HomePod and HomePod mini. Both thermostats and the sensors are Matter compatible, DIY-friendly and use on-device wire detection to simplify installation.

Setup takes one tap with iPhone

Every accessory is added to Apple Home with a single tap with iPhone, similar to setting up HomePod. There is no additional app to download and no separate account to create. Every device supports Thread, which helps it maintain connectivity if Wi-Fi drops, and the products automatically update their network credentials if you change your home Wi-Fi.

Privacy

Camera footage and personal data in the Home app are end-to-end encrypted and never accessible to LG Electronics, Schneider Electric or Apple. Footage is processed locally on your Apple Home hub or in Private Cloud Compute and, for iCloud+ users, stored encrypted in iCloud for 10 days.

ADT installation at Apple Retail

Apple Retail offers third-party installation from ADT for an additional charge. Apple says the service is available in the U.S. starting this fall.

What you need

Apple Home Collection accessories require an iPhone running the latest operating system software for NFC pairing. Additional features vary by accessory and require a compatible home hub such as Apple HomeView, HomePod or Apple TV.

Video summaries and natural language search need setup on an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, an eligible iCloud+ plan and a home hub such as Apple HomeView, HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K with the latest operating system software.
