Apple is increasing the monthly cost for its music streaming service and most of its bundled plans. The company cited rising licensing costs as the core reason behind the move. This change marks the first time it has bumped up rates for Apple Music in nearly four years. The new pricing structure is already in effect for users in the United States and a few other regions.

Apple adjusts monthly fees for most music and bundle plans

The company shared that the individual music plan now costs $11.99 per month. The family plan takes a larger jump to $19.99, while the student plan goes up to $6.99.

Here is a look at the updated music subscription rates:

At the same time, the company updated prices for its all-in-one subscription packages. The individual bundle stays at $19.95 per month. The family version moves up to $27.95, and the premier tier now sits at $39.95.

Here are the current bundle costs:

  • Individual: $19.95 (no change)
  • Family: $27.95 (up from $25.95)
  • Premier: $39.95 (up from $37.95)

The tech giant previously raised prices for some of its other services late last year. It increased the monthly fees for Apple Arcade and other media offerings during that time. Before this recent update, the company also adjusted the price for Apple TV back in August 2025.

This move comes just months after Spotify announced a similar hike. Even with these new changes, Apple still offers its music platform at a lower price point than its main rival.

Subscribers will see these new charges reflected on their next billing cycle. If you rely on multiple services, keeping the individual bundle might be the best way to avoid the extra costs since its price remains unchanged.
