Apple fans hoping to get their hands on the new iPhone Duo are still facing long delivery delays. While pre-orders for the foldable device began weeks ago, the expected shipping dates have barely moved for most buyers. This ongoing supply struggle has caught the attention of market analysts, leading financial firms like UBS to maintain a cautious outlook on Apple stock in the near term.

Shipping dates push into late January for new orders

When Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone Duo on October 16, demand quickly outpaced the available supply. Within just thirty minutes, the online store showed shipping estimates slipping all the way to January 25, 2027, for all eight configurations of the device. For customers looking to buy the phone today, the long wait remains largely unchanged.

As of late October, Apple has not provided any official updates on when these late January delivery dates might get better. Early buyers who secured a unit on launch day are already receiving their devices, but new shoppers are left waiting. The company noted that physical retail locations would have limited inventory for walk-in purchases, though many regions still require an online pickup reservation just to get one.

While the hardware itself is drawing attention, with early reviews praising the barely visible screen crease, the limited availability takes the spotlight. Apple has yet to share how many units might be impacted by inner display concerns or when they expect stock levels to normalize.

UBS keeps a neutral rating on Apple stock amid delays

The prolonged wait times for the new iPhone are now impacting how financial experts view the company’s short-term market performance. UBS recently reiterated its neutral rating for Apple, specifically pointing to these delivery delays as a main reason for their stance. The firm set a price target of $296.00, even as the stock currently trades much higher, near $348.

Analysts track wait times closely because they offer a clear look at both consumer demand and potential supply chain backups. With the device expected to secure a large slice of the foldable market by next year, Apple needs to figure out a way to produce more units faster.

The current situation leaves early adopters happy but creates a barrier for everyday buyers who want to upgrade before the holidays. If the supply chain does not speed up soon, many shoppers might just wait for the next generation instead of sitting in a three-month digital line.
