Apple Original Films Announces A New Sci-Fi Thriller Called Liminal

Apple TV Movies and Shows Score Seven Wins at Critics Choice Awards

Apple Original Films just announced its newest project, an exciting science fiction movie called Liminal. The upcoming action thriller will star Academy Award nominee Vanessa Kirby and Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Louis Leterrier, known for directing Fast X and Lupin, is set to direct the film for Apple Studios. Fans of comic books might already know the story, as it adapts a popular graphic novel.

Liminal is adapted from the telepaths’ graphic novel

The movie takes its main story from a comic titled Telepaths. That book was published by AWA Studios and created by J. Michael Straczynski, Steve Epting, and Brian Reber. Straczynski and his co-creators are staying on board as executive producers to help guide the film version.

Justin Rhodes, who worked on Terminator: Dark Fate, wrote the script for the new movie. Zach Studin will produce the project for AWA Studios alongside Kevin Walsh.

The movie is expanding the Apple Studios film lineup

Apple TV continues to grow its library of original movies with this new announcement. The company recently enjoyed massive box office success with its sports drama F1 and released other big titles like The Lost Bus.

By adding a high-profile science fiction thriller to its schedule, the streaming service shows it wants to offer a wide variety of genres to viewers. There is no official release date for the movie yet.
