Beats Drops Solo Buds in Exclusive Orange at Best Buy and Japan

Beats Solo Buds orange

Apple’s audio brand Beats just launched a bright orange paint job for its entry-level Solo Buds. The new shade is tied to specific retailers, meaning you will only find it at a few select stores. Shoppers in the United States can pick up a pair at Best Buy right now. If you live in Japan, the new color option officially lands at 7-Eleven on July 4.

Details on the new orange design and current pricing

The new orange look shares a lot with a limited-edition version the company released back in October 2024. That older pair was given away for free in India to celebrate Diwali with the purchase of an iPhone 15 or 15 Plus. There is one small difference to spot. The model given away in India featured a purple “b” logo on the earbuds and the case. The new orange version sold at Best Buy and 7-Eleven uses a red logo instead.

Solo Buds usually cost $79.99 in the United States. Right now, Best Buy is running a $10 discount that drops the price down to $69.99. This discount applies to the new orange shade as well as the older colors.

Battery specs and a look at past color options

The hardware inside remains the same. You still get up to 18 hours of battery life straight from the buds. The carrying case handles wired charging but does not include its own internal battery to recharge the buds on the go.

The brand originally released the Solo Buds in June 2024. The launch lineup included Matte Black, Storm Gray, and Transparent Red. It also created an Arctic Purple color that remained exclusive to Apple and Target. Late last year, Walmart received its own exclusive Ivory shade in the United States. Adding orange gives buyers another bright option, provided they shop at the right store.
