The luxury device modification company recently announced a custom iPhone 17 Pro model officially named the “Geiger.” This unique creation swaps out the standard glass back panel for a thick titanium shell housing a fully functional radiation monitor and an analog watch mechanism.
The modified phone detects radiation and tracks time mechanically
Caviar designed this device around a physical SIG-RM1208 dosimeter watch. It placed the module right into the back casing of the Apple phone, giving users a way to monitor their immediate environment for radiation. The system uses a small digital screen to show real-time radiation readings. You can even set it to sound a warning beep if levels pass a specific limit.
Surrounding this digital display is a traditional analog watch face. It is powered by a Swiss Ronda 763 quartz movement. The heavy titanium build takes inspiration from industrial equipment, featuring exposed screws, thick metal plates, a red axis line, and a sculpted radiation hazard symbol.

The rare device starts at over thirteen thousand dollars
The base model of the Geiger edition is a 256GB iPhone 17 Pro, and it carries a starting price of $13,130. Buyers can pay extra to upgrade the storage capacity or choose the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max instead.
Finding one to buy might be difficult regardless of your budget. Caviar is keeping production strictly limited, capping the total run at just seven units worldwide. Each of these seven phones will feature a production number engraved directly on the metal chassis.
