UK mobile network EE is officially rolling out the highly anticipated iPhone Duo to its customers. This marks a major moment for mobile users, as it is the first foldable iPhone to hit the market. Alongside this new hardware release, EE is also the first carrier in the region to launch the iPhone Handoff feature, letting people link multiple phones under one single mobile number for greater convenience.
Customers can now preorder the new folding phone
EE opened preorders for the new folding device on October 16, with the official launch arriving on October 23. The phone brings a new form factor to the lineup, offering a large 7.6-inch inner display for viewing media and multitasking. When folded, it provides a very pocketable 5.4-inch outer screen.
Under the hood, the device runs on the new A20 Pro chip. It comes with iOS 27 out of the box. This updated operating system is designed to handle the new folding screen layout and multi-display usage.

The handoff tool lets you switch between devices easily
The technology giant Apple recently introduced a tool that lets you share your eSIM across two different devices. EE is the first UK network to support this capability. It gives users a simple way to switch phones without missing calls or text messages. You can leave your main phone at home and take a smaller device on a run, with your number and contacts moving with you.
This feature requires two compatible phones running iOS 27 or later, and both must be signed into the same account. EE is including this add-on for free on its Full Works Plus plan. For customers on other plans, it costs ÂŁ5 per month on a rolling contract. You can also read more about carrier support details to see how other companies are pricing this feature.
This setup provides flexibility for people who want to manage their mobile connectivity based on their daily plans. Offering a shared number across devices helps users stay reachable while keeping their tech habits simple.
