What a release candidate note actually is
Apple’s release candidate stage sits between the last beta and the public build developers and testers install ahead of a general release. The current iOS and iPadOS 27 release candidate is build 24A435, finished September 9. The release notes attached to it are written for developers, not shoppers, which is why the Siri issues below have not shown up on Apple’s consumer-facing iOS 27 page or in any support article. They are nonetheless Apple’s own documentation, current as of this weekend, and the only place Apple has put these specific behaviors in writing before launch day.

Where Siri AI reaches beyond the iPhone
Siri AI arrives in beta, English first, with iOS 27 on Apple Intelligence-eligible iPhones, and separately with watchOS 27 on Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. The release notes quoted above are specific to iOS and iPadOS; Apple has not published an equivalent watchOS 27 known-issues document, so there is no way to say from Apple’s own material whether the same eight Siri behaviors, or different ones, apply on the watch.
Why the timing matters before Monday
iOS 27 is due on Monday, September 14, the same week iPhone 18 Pro reaches early buyers who pre-ordered it. Apple’s own release notes are dated to the pre-release build, and the company’s event recap and product pages make no mention of any of the eight Siri items. A known-issues list changing size between a release candidate and the public build that follows it is ordinary for Apple, which is a reason to check the notes again after launch rather than assume today’s list is final.
What Apple has not said
Apple has not confirmed that build 24A435 is the exact code shipping Monday, has not said which, if any, of the eight Siri issues will be fixed by then, and has not published a consumer-facing version of this known-issues list anywhere outside its developer documentation.
The most direct way to check is developer.apple.com’s iOS and iPadOS 27 release notes after September 14, to see whether Apple revises, removes or adds to this list once the public build replaces the release candidate.
