Leaker Says Apple Will Mix Three Shades for New iPhone 18 Pro Color

iPhone 18 Pro colors leaked

Apple is testing some fresh colors for its upcoming phone models, and a recent leak sheds light on the main attraction. The new signature look for the iPhone 18 Pro is reportedly called Dark Cherry. Instead of picking between a few dark hues that were floating around the rumor mill, it looks like the tech giant decided to blend them all.

This special finish will supposedly mix burgundy, coffee, and deep purple into a single design.

A known leaker describes the exact blend for dark cherry

The Weibo account Instant Digital backed up earlier reports about the upcoming colors. According to the tip, Dark Cherry is going to replace the Cosmic Orange finish seen on the previous generation. People previously thought burgundy, coffee, and deep purple were going to be separate choices for the new phone. Now, the leak clarifies that they are actually just different ways to describe the same dark red blend.

This source has a solid track record with these kinds of details, having correctly shared color choices for older models in the past.

The pro lineup leaves out a standard black option again

Besides the new red option, the company is reportedly testing Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver for the upcoming release. Light Blue is expected to look a lot like the Sierra Blue from a few years ago.

Dark Gray could be similar to older graphite or space black finishes. Interestingly, rumors point out that Apple might skip a basic black option for the second year in a row.

It is still testing these four colors right now, so its final lineup could change before the official reveal expected this September.
