Mac Observer has obtained exclusive images and a detailed specifications sheet for Lenovo’s upcoming Googlebook 15, giving us our clearest look yet at Google’s new laptop platform. The machine pairs a 15.3-inch 120Hz OLED display with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, built-in Gemini Intelligence, and a dedicated Google key.
The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is very real, and we now know considerably more about what is inside it.
Mac Observer has obtained a set of high-resolution product images alongside Lenovo’s product sheet for the Googlebook 15. The documents reveal specifications, connectivity, dimensions, battery capacity, Google-specific hardware features, and some of the ways Lenovo and Google plan to differentiate Googlebook hardware from existing Windows laptops and Chromebooks.

The model is identified in Lenovo’s documentation as the Lenovo GB 15IPH12, running an operating system simply called Googlebook OS.
Lenovo Googlebook 15 gets a 15.3-inch 120Hz OLED display
The display is one of the strongest parts of the hardware on paper.
Lenovo lists a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
That puts the Googlebook 15 firmly into premium-laptop territory rather than the inexpensive Chromebook category many people may associate with Google-powered notebooks.
The images obtained by Mac Observer show very thin side bezels and a slightly raised section around the camera at the top of the display.
Lenovo is also using a 5MP RGB webcam with dual microphones and a physical privacy shutter.
Audio comes from four speakers with Dolby Atmos, with large speaker grilles visible on either side of the keyboard in Lenovo’s renders.
There is a dedicated Google key
One of the more interesting details is sitting directly on the keyboard.
The images show a dedicated Google “G” key on the bottom row, positioned between the Fn and Alt keys.
That effectively gives Googlebook its own equivalent to the Windows key on a PC or the Command key on a Mac, although the material we obtained does not explain exactly what pressing the key will do.
So we are not going to speculate about its software behavior yet.
The keyboard itself is backlit, while Lenovo is using a particularly large 150mm x 95mm haptic touchpad.
The palm rest is also explicitly branded Googlebook, while Dolby Atmos branding appears on the opposite side.
Intel Core Ultra 5 and up to 32GB of RAM
The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor with integrated graphics. Lenovo will offer configurations with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, alongside either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
There is another interesting clue hidden in Lenovo’s model naming.
The machine is identified as GB 15IPH12, and Lenovo’s own naming guide in the same document identifies IPH as its platform code for Panther Lake-H.
Lenovo describes the processor as part of its “Series 3 Intel Core Ultra” lineup and says the machine includes Intel Graphics.
Gemini Intelligence is built in
Google’s AI strategy is also unsurprisingly central to the Googlebook.
Lenovo says the laptop comes with built-in Gemini Intelligence, which can provide “personal, proactive help” when moving from an idea to an action. The company also says Googlebook can stay synchronized with an Android phone, allowing users to access apps and files from their phone directly from the laptop.
The document does not go into enough detail to establish exactly how deep that Android integration goes, or which Gemini capabilities will be exclusive to Googlebook.
Gemini Intelligence availability is also subject to Google’s usual restrictions. Lenovo says it will be available in select countries and languages and to users aged 18 and older.
Lenovo is calling the light on the lid a “Glowbar”
The thin multicolor strip visible near the top edge of the lid has a name: Glowbar.
According to Lenovo, the Glowbar provides an at-a-glance indication of battery and charging status.
It is visible across several of the images obtained by Mac Observer and appears as a narrow Google-colored line along the lid.
Lenovo also lists a fingerprint reader and Google facial authentication among the Googlebook 15’s hardware features.
The chassis itself is metal and comes in Cloud Grey.
It weighs just 2.84 pounds
Despite having a 15.3-inch display, Lenovo says the Googlebook 15 starts at just 1.29kg, or 2.84 pounds.
Its dimensions are 341 x 236 x 15.9mm, or approximately 13.43 x 9.29 x 0.63 inches.
The battery is rated at 70Wh, with Lenovo claiming up to 11 hours of battery life based on controlled video playback testing. Actual runtime will naturally depend on settings, network conditions, location, and usage.
Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4
Connectivity is unusually strong for a Google-powered laptop.
Lenovo lists Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, along with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.
According to the specifications sheet, the port arrangement is:

Lenovo’s product renders give us a close look at both edges of the laptop, although the company’s disclaimer notes that product images are for illustration purposes.
Lenovo is also making a Googlebook AI Mouse
Googlebook apparently extends beyond the laptop itself.
The product material lists a Lenovo AI Mouse for Googlebook as an accessory, alongside Lenovo E310 True Wireless Stereo Earbuds and a Lenovo 540 Convertible Tote Backpack.
One of the images obtained by Mac Observer shows the Googlebook 15 beside the white Lenovo mouse, which carries the same multicolor accent seen on the laptop’s Glowbar.
The documentation does not explain what makes the mouse an “AI Mouse,” so we will avoid guessing until Lenovo or Google provides more details.

All of those specifications come directly from the Lenovo product sheet reviewed by Mac Observer.
What the material does not reveal is equally important: there is no confirmed retail price or launch date in the documentation we obtained.
But the hardware makes Google’s intentions much clearer. The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is not shaping up to be a basic Chromebook replacement. Lenovo is building it around premium hardware, a high-resolution OLED screen, Intel Core Ultra silicon, Gemini, Android integration, and Google-specific features such as the Glowbar and dedicated G key.
And now we know exactly what one of the first Googlebooks looks like.
