Apple has opened up macOS Tahoe 26.3 public beta 1 to anyone enrolled in the Beta Software Program. It arrives a couple of days after Apple shipped the first developer beta on Monday, December 15, 2025, and it gives regular users a way to test what comes next without a developer account.
This first public beta looks like an early, steadying update rather than a feature-packed release. Early reports say there are very few user-facing changes right now, which usually points to Apple focusing on stability, fixes, and polish at this stage of the cycle.
