The Meta Muse AI App is taking off quickly as users look for more hands-on help from their digital tools. Launched on September 8, the personal assistant has already climbed to the top of both the US iOS and Google Play charts. Estimates show it hit more than 3.4 million downloads by late September, completely passing the early download numbers of previous software releases from Meta.
The new agent books travel and manages emails for users
Instead of just answering questions like a standard chatbot, Muse is built to take actual steps on your behalf. The app can send emails, book travel plans, shop online, and even help you sell a car or lower your monthly bills. It keeps running these tasks after you close the application, returning later when it needs your permission to finish an action.
This shift shows a larger move from simple chat tools toward agentic AI that can actively complete web tasks. The system runs on the Muse Spark model and uses a secure virtual machine to keep your data separate from other networks. Because the software interacts with websites for you, it does need access to sensitive accounts. The developer states that users retain full control, and any major actions like buying items or sending emails require manual approval first.

Right now, you can only download the app in the United States and Canada. Plans are already in motion to expand its reach and add new features, including Mac computer access, video interactions, and connections to smart glasses.
As the platform grows, this type of active artificial intelligence could become the main way people handle their daily online chores.
